German Audi unveiled new details about the forthcoming BMW 5-Series Gran Turismo rival - Audi A5 Sportback.

Designed to be "emotional and elegant", Audi A5 Sportback will be as convenient as a sedan, and as practical as the Avant. According to automaker Audi A5 Sportback features frameless doors and somewhat more practical lift-gate instead of the traditional trunk.





Audi A5 Sportback will be a 36 mm lower than the sedan Audi A4. With regard to the practicality of the car, the new A5 Sportback offers a trunk volume of 480 liters and 980 with rear seats folded.

Production version of Audi A5 Sportback will be offered with three diesel and two petrol engines.

Diesel versions include:

• 2-liter 170 hp TDI with 350 nm torque,
• 2.7-liter 190 hp TDI with 400 nm torque,
• 3-liter 240 hp V6 TDI engine with 500 Nm torque.

Among the gasoline engines:

• 2-liter 211 hp TFSI quattro with 350 nm torque,
• 3.2-liter 265 hp V6 quattro
