Mercedes-Benz CLS Grand Edition

Mercedes-Benz introduced a special version of 4-door coupe CLS called Grand Edition. Matte painting of the body gives special prominence to coupe's lines and contours, and features resistance to scratches and contamination. The grille is painted in the color of the body. As an additional equipment for the CLS Grand Edition models features: bi-xenon headlamps in a dark setting, active lighting system and "side light" for the fog lamps, headlights cleaning system and dynamic range adjust, as well as polished 5-spoke alloy wheel AMG discs with a diameter of 18 inch tires in size 245/40 R18 (front) and 275/35 R18 (rear).



The car is trimmed with soft leather Designo, while the roof comes with sliding door with glass panel. The pedals are made of polished stainless steel with rubber pads. The car also received a multimedia system Comand APS, an integrated telephone system and electronic system Parktronis. Mercedes-Benz CLS Grand Edition comes with four engine options: CLS 280, CLS 350, CLS 500 and CLS 63 AMG. Orders for the coupe are accepted from January 2009 at all Mercedes-Benz authorized dealers.

Audi R8 PPI Razor GTR: Supercharged with 580HP

Specialists from the PPI Automotive Design turned its focus on increasing performance, improving handling dynamics, and reducing the weight of the R8. Now the car develops 580 horsepower (torque is 600 Nm) and weighs 250 kilograms less. To achieve it they replaced many elements in the body with carbon ones and installed light 19-inch front and 20-inch rear wheel disks with Michelin Pilot Sport 255/35 and 325/25 respectively.







PPI Razor GTR accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds and can reach a maximum speed of 332 km/ h. PPI Razor GTR will debut at the Motor Show in Essen, which will take place from 29 November to 7 December.

2010 Porsche Panamera Sedan Official Pics And Details

According to Dutch website with supposedly leaked information, the Panamera dimensions are: 4.97 meters / 16.3 feet long and 1.93 meters / 6.3 feet wide, while it sits on a 2.92 meters / 9.6 feet long wheelbase, which is marginally larger than an Audi A6 but smaller than an Audi A8. Weight hasn't been disclosed, but its around two tons.










The most striking details of the Panamera Sedan exterior are the indentations leading from the front fenders, aft of the wheels, into the doors and the Panamera's bulbous back end, but the jury is still out on that one.

Porsche Panamera sedan comes with VW 3.6-liter V6 engine with 300HP for the base Panamera, a 4.8-liter V8 with 405HP for the Panamera S, and a 4.8-liter twin-turbocharghed V8 delivering about 500hp for the Panamera Turbo, V6 hybrid with 350 hp will come along at a later date. Power will be transferred by either manual gearboxes or Porsche's new double-clutch PDK transmission, and can be sent to either rear wheels, or all four, depending on the trim level.

2009 Porsche Cayman and Boxster Pics

Porsche has introduced the updated version of Cayman and Boxster at LA Autoshow. Cars exterior differ from predecessors with only slightly modified head light lamps, larger air intake in the front bumper, and LED daytime running lights and new taillights. More serious and important changes is well hidden underneath the skin as both models gain much of the tech seen on the recently facelifted 911s, sport cars received new engines with direct injection, modernized suspension, and robotized PDK double-clutch gearbox.









The base 2.7-liter gasoline engine, now replaced by 2.9 liter engine. On the Boxster roadster, it produces 255 hp, while the coupe Cayman - 265 hp. Output of upgraded 3.4-liter 6-cylinder Boxster S and Cayman S engines, increased by 15 and 25 horsepower respectively - up to 310 and 320 horsepower.

New Porsche Boxster with base engine and robotic PDK double-clutch gearbox can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.8 seconds, 0.3 second faster than previous model with Tiptronic. The new Cayman S with the Launch Control PDK function, allowing the driver to get the car maximum agility, and optional Sports Chrono package, accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds. A previous version of the model took 6.1 seconds. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h of the same cars, but with mechanical gearbox is 0.1 seconds slower.

The new engines, despite the increased power, have better mileage than its predecessors. For example, average fuel consumption of cars equipped with 3.4-liter engine is only 9.2 liters per hundred kilometers.

Note also that the new Cayman and Boxster received a new line of wheels with increased dimensions and more powerful braking mechanisms on the front axle for "S" versions.

Sales in the European market start in February next year. Prices for the Boxster will start from 38,600 euros (Boxster S - from 46,700 euros), and the Cayman - from 41,700 euros (Cayman S - from 51,500 euros).

New Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 Spyder Pics

New Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 - Spyder unveiled today at the Los Angeles AUTO SHOW. The main difference of drop-top from the coupe - soft folding roof that retracts into a special compartment behind the driver's and passenger seats in about 20 seconds.








Spyder is equipped with the same engine as the coupe - 5.2-liter V10 power of 560 horsepower, working in pairs with six Sequential Manual Gearbox. From 0 to 100 km/h Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 Spyder accelerates in 4.0 seconds, which is 0.3 second slower rigid roof version. Top speed - 324 km/h.

Drop-top also received an more rigid body and suspension and upgraded brakes. Sales of new Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 Spyder will begin early next year. The cost of the car is not yet known.

New Aston Martin Vantage GT4

Aston Martin Vantage GT4 race car built on modification of 4.7 liter Vantage V8, received full engine management recalibration and improved exhaust system. The car features sports configured suspension and revised braking system with larger diameter discs for better cooling.



In comparison to Vantage V8, GT4 weighs 300 kg less - thanks to replacement of virtually entire standard interior finishing, with a protective steel frame, Recaro sport seats and the Lifeline Zero 360 fire extinguishing system. The first £96,645 GT4 shipments will begin in January 2009.

670HP Mercedes SL65 AMG Black Series Video

Not that the recently updated Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG with its 612HP twin-turbocharged V12 engine isn't powerful or fast enough, but there are always few people that crave for something a bit more special, a bit more fast. The result was the introduction of 'SL65 AMG Black Series' - under the hood of this car is 6-liter V12 with two turbines, developing incredible 670 horsepower. Maximum torque of 1000 Nm achieved in the interval from 2200 to 4200 revolutions. The 1000 Nm torque is far from limit on the engine. If you remove the electronic limiter, the SL65 Black Series will be able to literally rip the asphalt beneath.




The super car comes with 5-speed Automatic with four modes of operation: C, S, M1 and M2. According to AMG, when in M2 car responds to the accelerator pedal up to 20% faster than the M1. The letters seem to indicate Comfort, Sport, Mega 1, Mega 2, respectively. The regime of the ESP system includes ESP On, ESP Sport and ESP Off (only for professionals). This SL65, in which one horsepower has only 2.79 kg, accelerated up 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds and can reach speeds of 320 kilometers per hour (even with the electronic limiter). The price of car is not yet known.
